Find answers to common questions about our Australia and International painting tours: booking, rooming, transport, insurance, visas, meals and more.
TRIP STYLE
Our trips blend plein-air painting with light cultural experiences. Expect a relaxed pace, comfortable 3.5â5â hotels, private transport, and 1â2 painting sessions most days (weather permitting). Sightseeing is included where it complements the painting schedule.
AIRFARES
Airfares are not included (as outlined in the itinerary). Guests are responsible for booking flights to/from the tour destination and any internal flights unless explicitly listed as included.
TRAVELING WITH NON PAINTING PARTNERS
Non-painting partners are welcome on selected departures. A non-painter discount may apply as outlined in the workshop itinerary. Non-painters can go sightseeing and visit local towns and museums while painters are in session.
ROOM TYPES
Typical options are Single, Twin/Double and occasionally Triple. Specific bedding and interconnecting rooms can be requested but are not guaranteed. All rooms include private bathroom unless stated otherwise.
VISA INFORMATION
For international tours, visa and entry requirements vary by nationality. Please check official government advice and apply well in advance. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. Domestic Australian tours generally require photo ID only.
INSURANCE
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guestsâcovering medical, cancellation/interruption, and luggage. Some optional activities may require proof of insurance.
ARRIVAL
Flights are not included. We provide the recommended arrival airport and window for each tour. Group transfers operate within the window; private transfers can be arranged at extra cost for arrivals outside it.
MATERIALS
Art materials are not included. A list of the artistâs recommended materials will be sent prior to the workshop commencing. Please bring a portable kit suitable for outdoor sessions.
FOOD
Daily breakfast is usually included; other meals vary by itinerary. We can cater for common dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal) with advance notice. In remote areas options may be limited, but we will do our best to assist.
ACCOMMODATION
We select comfortable, well-located hotels or lodges suited to artistsâgood rest, access to scenic locations, and reliable facilities. Final hotel lists are provided in your pre-departure notes and may change due to operational reasons of equal or higher standard.
ACTIVITIES
A typical day features a 4â6 hour painting session plus optional short walks or cultural visits. Activities may be adjusted for weather, local events, or safety, while preserving the overall tour quality.
PAINTING ONLY PACKAGE
Painting & Tutor Only packages do not include accommodation, transport, or daily meals beyond specified events. Please check your package details carefully before booking.
TRANSPORT
We use private coaches or minibuses for touring and day trips. Please keep luggage to one medium suitcase and one small carry-on. On itineraries with internal flights, airline baggage limits will apply.
PAYMENT
A non-refundable deposit (amount specified in the tour details) is required to secure your place. For Australian participants: the remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days prior to the tour start date unless otherwise stated. For Overseas participants: the remaining balance must be paid no later than 120 days prior to the tour start date unless otherwise stated. Your booking is not confirmed until we have received your deposit and provided written confirmation.
