Tour Plan

🛬 Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City

Upon arriving at the International Terminal in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your transfer to the designated hotel. After settling in, take some time to relax at the hotel. In the evening, the group will gather for welcome drinks and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.

🕳️ Day 2 – Cu Chi Tunnels & Saigon Sights

After an early breakfast, embark on a 1.5-hour journey to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels. Built in 1948, this complex was constructed to protect Viet Cong guerrillas from French air and ground operations. Experience the tunnels firsthand and gain insight into the history and ingenuity of the Vietnamese during the conflict. After lunch, continue with a city tour, visiting the Re-Unification Palace, the Central Post Office, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Overnight in Saigon.

🚤 Day 3 – Mekong Delta

Depart Saigon for a 2.5-hour drive to Vinh Long province. A boat trip will take you downstream on the Mekong River, passing floating fish farms. Visit Vinh Long market to see a variety of local produce, including fish, shrimp, crabs, and tropical fruits. Tour brick kilns to see traditional pottery making, then visit a local workshop to learn about rice paper, coconut candy, and popped rice production. Enjoy some sweets with hot tea before visiting an orchard and the traditional house of the Ut Trinh family. An optional lunch can be served on board as you cruise past numerous brick kilns. Return to Saigon and conclude the day with a visit to Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Saigon.

✈️ Day 4 – Da Nang & Transfer to Hoi An

Fly north to Da Nang, transfer by coach to UNESCO‑listed Hoi An, and enjoy an evening sketching session in the lantern‑lit Old Town.

🏮 Day 5 – Hoi An Ancient Town

Explore the beautiful old town of Hoi An on foot, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, Tam Ky Old House, and the Japanese Bridge. Overnight in Hoi An.

🎨 Day 6 – Full Day Painting in Hoi An

Spend the day under Jacky’s live demonstrations, capturing Hoi An’s pastel facades, riverbanks, and timeless charm.

🍜 Day 7 – Market & Cooking Class

Begin with a visit to Hoi An’s colorful market, then take a leisurely boat cruise to the cooking school. Learn to cook some of Vietnam’s famous dishes, followed by a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving. After enjoying your cooked meal, participate in a painting session in the Red Bridge cooking school gardens. Overnight in Hoi An.

🏮 Day 8 – Lantern Workshop

Visit a workshop to make your own lantern, a signature craft of Hoi An. In the afternoon, continue with a painting session. Overnight in Hoi An.

🌴 Day 9 – Cam Thanh Village & Flight to Hanoi

Take a boat trip to Cam Thanh water coconut village to learn about the daily life of local fishermen. Participate in fishing activities and explore the tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways. After lunch, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

🏯 Day 10 – Ninh Binh Exploration

Travel to Ninh Binh, known as the "Ha Long Bay on land." Explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam's former capital, and the temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties. Climb Ngoa Long Mountain and visit Mua Cave for stunning views. Continue to the Tràng An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

🚲 Day 11 – Tam Coc & Bich Dong Pagoda

Enjoy a boat trip to Tam Coc, gliding through limestone caves and karst formations. Follow this with a leisurely bicycle ride through scenic villages to visit the Bich Dong Pagoda. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

🏺 Day 12 – Bat Trang & Hanoi Free Paint

Return to Hanoi, stopping at Bat Trang pottery village to observe traditional handicrafts. Enjoy coffee near the railroad tracks in Hanoi's old town. The day will end with a final critique session, followed by farewell drinks and dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your journey home, taking with you memories and artworks inspired by Vietnam’s beauty.

❌ Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change. Below is our general cancellation policy for all tours:

🔹 Cancellation by the Participant

  • > 90 days before the workshop start date: Full refund minus the non‑refundable deposit
  • 31–90 days before the workshop start date: 50% refund of the total tour price
  • ≤ 30 days before the workshop start date: No refund

🔹 Cancellation by the Organizer

In the rare case that we need to cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, insufficient registrations, or instructor unavailability), you will be offered:
  1. A full refund of all payments made (including the holding amount)
  2. The option to transfer your booking to a future tour at no extra cost

🔹 Travel Insurance & Liability

  • Travel Insurance: It is highly recommended that all participants secure their own travel insurance. This should cover unforeseen cancellations, medical expenses, personal liability, loss of luggage, and other potential travel risks.
  • Liability: While every effort will be made to ensure a safe and enjoyable tour, Painting Holiday Tours is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage during the trip.

🔹 Substitutions & Transfers

  • If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your booking to another person up to 7 days before the tour (subject to approval).
  • Date changes are allowed only at the discretion of the organizer and may be subject to additional fees.

🔹 Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude throughout the tour to ensure a positive experience for everyone. By booking a tour, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy. If you have any questions, please contact us.
